Lawmaker Modou Lamin Bah Decries Public Safety Crisis as a Result of Persistent Power Outage in Banjul North

The Founder, Editor and Executive Director of Civil Press (CP)

Mr. Conteh is a Gambian, a journalist, and a development practitioner, who went to both the English and Arabic education systems in the Gambia. He also went through the Gambia College, and holds a degree in Development Studies from University of The Gambia (UTG) in 2024.
‎
‎He is an active member of the Gambia Press Union (GPU) and has close to 6 years of experience practicing journalism, having gone through a lot of capacity-building training meant for media practitioners in the Gambia. He also worked for the Institute for Social Reformation and Action (ISRA) as a facilitator, from 2020 to 2023, under the Angus Lawson Memorial Trust project, focused on the West Coast Region of The Gambia. He also worked as a coordinator (representative in the Gambia) for a US-based non-profit organization, Washington West African Center.
‎
‎As a strong believer of freedom of expression, Sheriff Conteh, having come from a humble background, holds a strong view that people must be empowered and given a voice to speak on issues affecting their lives and livelihoods both at a national and international level.
‎
‎He is a compassionate, fair-minded, sports enthusiast, with a keen interest in international affairs (geopolitics).
