The Gambia Police Force on Wednesday provided an update on the ongoing investigations into three separate murder cases involving late Musa Sabally, Kebba Sarr and Yunusa Mbye.
In its latest public statement issued, GPF disclosed that four suspects involved in the alleged murder of 23-year-old Musa Sabally from Brikama Bojang Kunda have been arrested and are currently in custody assisting with investigations, and a post-mortem examination on the deceased have already been conducted.
“Investigators have already conducted a post-mortem examination on the deceased and are continuing efforts to identify and apprehend other persons believed to be connected to the incident.”
Similarly, police said a 19-year-old female suspect earlier arrested in connection with the death of a truck driver Kebba Sarr in an apartment in Nema have also been arrested and assisting investigators, and a post-mortem examination has been carried out as part of inquiries into the circumstances surrounding Sarr’s death.
Further more, following the a post-mortem examination, police also announced that a prosecution proceedings have formally begun in the case of Yunusa Mbaye whose death occurred on June 15 in Fajara as a result of injuries he sustained following an altercation with one Momodou Bah.
In a statement, the Gambia Police Force has reiterated its condemnation of all forms of violence and reaffirmed its commitment to conducting thorough, impartial, and professional investigations aimed at ensuring justice is pursued in accordance with the law.
