We are proud to introduce our newest contributor, Ebrima Jaiteh (Burama), who will be leading our latest sports column, “Talents to Watch”, a platform dedicated to spotlighting rising young Gambian stars that are making waves in football in the Gambia and around the world.

Jaiteh brings a wealth of experience to Civil Press, having combined academic excellence, active leadership and deep grassroots involvement in sports development in the Gambia. He is currently pursuing a Degree in Public Administration from University of The Gambia (UTG).Professionally, he holds a CAF D Coaching License and obtained a football scouting license from Serbian First Division club FK Radnički Surdulica last year, where he is currently part of their West Africa scouting team.
His hands-on experience in football development spans nearly a decade. He has been part of the Falcons FC coaching staff since 2016, working through the club’s journey from Nawettan football to the Third Division, Second Division, and eventually the 1st Division. He has also served as the club’s Media Officer since 2019, strengthening communication and public engagement.

Aside from being the Chairman of Wellingara Sports Committee, Jaiteh is currently a member of the UTG Sports Committee, contributing to the growth and organization of sports activities on campus. He also holds the position of Second Vice President of COSDA Football Zone, where he plays an active role in grassroots football administration and development.
Through our column, “Talents to Watch,” Ebrima Jaiteh brings technical knowledge, scouting expertise, administrative experience, and grassroots insight to identify and tell the stories of the next generation of Gambian stars.
